Wudongde hydropower station hits average annual design value in output

Wudongde hydropower station hit 38.91 billion kWh in annual output at 4 pm on December 30, 2021, reaching its multi-year average design value and delivering a steady stream of clean power to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

With 12 units of 850,000-kilowatt hydraulic generator, Wudongde hydropower station has an installed capacity of 10.2 million kilowatts and an average output of 38.91 billion kWh over years. Once fully completed and put into operation, it will become the largest power station within the power supply scope of China Southern Power Grid.

 "As the Kunliulong DC project of China Southern Power Grid is fully commissioned, it has greatly increased the transmission capacity of western power, with a maximum transmission capacity of 58 million kilowatts," China Southern Power Grid's Liu Chunxiao told reporters.
