CTG commissions first sewage treatment project in Jiangxi under the Yangtze River protection initiative

　　China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) commissioned the first phase of the expansion of its sewage treatment plant in Pengze County, Jiangxi province on April 27, making it the first operational sewage plant under the Yangtze River protection in Jiangxi province.

　　Pengze is the first county that meets the Yangtze River as it enters Jiangxi, with a shoreline stretching for 46.5 kilometers.

　　The plant treats sewage for the downtown area. Following the completion of this first phase, the plant will enter Phase II of its expansion. On completion, its daily capacity will increase to 22,500 tons and the plant will discharge A-level water. In the past, its daily capacity was 15,000 tons and it discharged B-level water.
