Xiluodu Power Plant of China Yangtze Power Co., Ltd. had generated 58.6 TWh of electricity in 2018 by November 26, a total increase of 151 TWh compared to the same period last year, meeting its 2018 target 35 days ahead of schedule.
In response to challenges such as excessive water flows and uncertainties in electricity transmission lines during flood season, the power plant stepped up efforts to assess operation performance of equipment, exploring new ways for technology to boost its capabilities in operation, maintenance and risk management.
The plant has been brought to full play this year. It has coped with floods during the flood season and at the same time its output hits record high over the same period. It has managed to run at full capacity for 1,170 hours.
Xiluodu Power Plant had been in safe operation for 2,209 days by the end of November this year.
