Seven popular science works submitted by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), has scooped outstanding awards in the energy field at the 2019 Annual Meeting of China Energy Research Society (CERS) held on December 4 at Beijing International Convention Center.
The awards, which is selected by a jury of leading experts in China organized by CERS, aims to encourage scientific and technological practitioners to actively create science works. A total of 29 works were granted the outstanding awards, including all the seven works submitted by CTG.
Among them, The Three Gorges STEM Course, Protect the Yangtze River Together with Chinese Sturgeons, Little Citizens for Eco-Protection, and A Journal of Protecting Chinese Sturgeons won awards in the book category, and Little Secrets of Chinese Sturgeons, a series popular science video production, scooped the excellent award in the film & animation category. The results reflect the recognition by the panel experts of CTG’s endeavors in popularizing scientific knowledge.
CTG has been strictly following a two-pronged development strategy in recent years, putting increasing emphasis on clean energy and eco-protection. The group has continued to step up efforts in public communications and developing cultural products.
The company has published a series of high-quality science works including books and videos to popularize scientific knowledge on hydropower and new energy as well as promote green concepts and technological achievements in eco-protection.
