CTG Salvage Tug Ensures Safety at the Dam Area

The assistance and salvage tug at the Three Gorges reservoir area pulled away from harbor on October 30, a signal that the duty work for maritime salvage has come to an end this year.

 The maritime salvage work atthe Three Gorges Dam startedfrom July 1 to October 31 in 2018. During the period, CTG, project teams and related authorities have established a communication mechanism and worked together on different tools to be fully prepared in case of an emergency so that the tug performance and rescue skills can be improved.

CTG plays an important part in offering maritime assistance and salvage at the Three Gorges reservoir area.

Since the first trial impoundment in 2008, CTG has engaged in rescues for 14 times, providing strong support for smooth navigation, flood control, and safe impoundment at the reservoir area.
