#AbraUmaJanela (#OpenAWindow) and let the music in. This is the name of the action that the Guri project is taking to encourage young people who are part of the project not to stop their activities even during the period of social isolation.
With over 50 thousand students having classes in 336 education centers distributed through 280 municipalities in the state of São Paulo, the Guri Project, sponsored by CTG Brasil, is considered to be the largest social and cultural program of Brazil. Ever since 1995 it has continually been offering courses of musical theory and initiation, choir singing and string, percussion and woodwind instruments during the non-school hours.
Now the Guri project created a series of videos where the children and young people teach others how to assemble musical instruments with recyclable materials. A great opportunity for parents and children to take the time to play together, isn't it?
Check out this video below of how to make a maraca in a very simple way and have a good time! And oh, don't forget to share this good deed with your friends and family. Let's make this difficult period a little easier with music.
