The Xiangjiaba shiplift transferred an accumulative total of 616 containers in the first quarter of 2020, serving a total of 645 ships to carry 249,100 tons of goods, up 60 percent year-on-year, getting off to an upbeat start that lays a solid foundation for achieving its annual goal.
Xiangjiaba shiplift is second mega shiplift built by China Three Gorges Corp.’s (CTG), after the Three Gorges shiplift. It has a maximum lifting height of 114.2m, the world’s highest for shiplift towers.
