Changlongshan: generator stator ready to roll off the line

Changlongshan pumped storage power station, built and owned by China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), announced that the iron stator core for the plant’s No.3 generator has passed the magnetization test on its first attempt on March 1, indicating that the stator is ready to be rolled off the production line.

As the "highway" of the magnetic circuit in the generator, the iron stator core plays a critical role in the conversion of energy. The stator underwent a rigorous 90-minute test for safety and quality control.

After passing the test, the No. 3 generator’s stator will immediately commence coming off the production line, laying foundation for its hoisting in the first half of this year.
