CTG attends the first industry BIM application forum

CTG attended the first Building Information Modeling (BIM) forum for the national water conservancy industry on October 26 at Hohai University in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.

BIM is a digital representation of a physical structure used throughout the life cycle of hydropower projects such as design, construction, operation and maintenance. The forum was rich in content and promoted the application and development of BIM technology in the whole life cycle of water conservancy projects and the ongoing digital transformation of the industry.

As the world's largest hydropower development and operation enterprise and China's largest clean energy group, CTG has built a number of giant hydropower projects bringing benefits to national economy and people's livelihood. As a result, CTG has developed an international leading competitive advantage in the field of hydropower development and has become a global leader in hydropower development.

At the BIM forum, representatives from relevant departments of CTG participated in three sub-forums on planning and design, construction, and operation and maintenance, and gave special reports on CTG’s digital projects, the application of BIM information technology in the Wudongde Project, and the use of 3D applications in the design of power production.

More than 300 participants, including leaders, experts and representatives from participating organizations, attended the event. The forum provided an excellent platform for the exchange of knowledge of BIM technology in the water conservancy industry. CTG also contributed to the development of the industry through technology exchange and the sharing of its experiences at the forum.
