Designed and constructed by EnergyChina, Unit 2 of the Yongzhou Power Plant in Hunan, China has been put into commercial operation after passing the trial operation on November 30. This marks the fact that the first 1000MW-unit power plant in Hunan was officially put into operation.
Phase Ⅰ of the Yongzhou Power Plant is equipped with two 1000MV ultra-supercritical generating units. The Unit 1 had been put into operation on October 27.
As the biggest eco power plant in the Hunan, the power plant is going to provide 8 billion kWh of power annually, further optimizing the structure of the local power grid.
