The 2022 Work Meeting on China Power Industry Statistics and Analysis Held in Beijing

April 25, 2022 /CEC/ - On April 22, China Electricity Council（CEC）held the 2022 Work Meeting on “China Power Industry Statistics and Analysis & Joint Review of the Annual Report of China Power Industry Statistics” in Beijing. Moderated by Shen Weichun, the Deputy Secretary General of CEC, Xia Zhong, the Vice President of CEC made the Key Note. The Meeting was held in the form of "onsite plus online live broadcast". More than 170 representatives from the State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Corporation, various power generation groups and other statistics related companies attended the Meeting.

At the Meeting, four key statistical tasks of the power industry in 2022 were clarified, incl. 

- Perform the statistical duties well and improve the quality of the data;

- Enhance the statistical capabilities, expand statistical fields, and strengthen the operational monitoring and informatization construction;

- Improve the ability of analysis, early warning and prediction, and use scientific methods to discover the value of the data resources;

- Explore the relationship between the power data and the operation of various industries, and serve the manufacturing and operation of the power enterprises and government decision-making.

Xia Zhong pointed out in his keynote speech that since commencing the power statistics work 20 years ago, CEC has continuously improved the statistical system, and has made good progress in the ability to provide consulting services and promote the digital transformation of power industry.

He analyzed the new situation and new problems faced by the statistical analysis of the power industry, and put forward suggestions for the statistical analysis of the power industry in the next few years.
