The Central Theoretical Learning Group of the CEC Party Committee Organized a Thematic Study Meeting

May 26, 2022 /CEC/ - On May 25, 2022, the Central Theoretical Learning Group of the Communist Party Committee of China Electricity Council (CPCCEC) organized a hybrid Thematic Study Meeting combined both in-person and online participants. The Meeting conveyed the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech content at the 11th Meeting of the Central Financial and Economic Committee, and focused on the spirit of the Meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee on April 29 and General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech content at the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Youth League of China. Yang Kun, the Executive President of CEC, the management team and the relevant staff from CEC HQs attended the Meeting.

It was pointed out at the Meeting that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the eleventh Meeting of the Central Financial and Economic Commission profoundly expounded the great significance of infrastructure construction, systematically clarified the overall principles, key areas and safeguard measures of infrastructure construction, and provided fundamental compliance for the construction of a modern infrastructure system. Deeply studying the spirit of the general secretary's important speech, CEC should understand that the energy and power industry, as an important part of infrastructure construction, would play an important role in economic and social development. 

In view of the current problems that the infrastructure was not adapted to the needs of national development and security, CEC should strive to concentrate the strength of the industry on the task of infrastructure construction, improve the attention of the whole industry to this work, mobilize the enthusiasm of all parties, and promote the implementation of the decision-making and deployment of the conference in the energy and power industry.

Moreover, the current epidemic situation and Ukraine crisis had led to more uncertainties and greater risks for the nation. CEC should coordinate the entire power industry to provide a strong energy guarantee for the nation’s economic development and the improvement of people's livelihood.
