Fugu Power Plant’s 200 MW Solar Power Project Approved

The 200 MW photovoltaic power generation project of the 600 MW new energy project (Phase I) of Fugu Power Plant, a subsidiary of Shenhua Guoneng Group under China Energy, obtained approval from Shaanxi Province on August 3.

With an investment of 1.25 billion yuan and located in the mined-out area of Sandaogou Coal Mine in Fugu County, Shaanxi Province, the project integrates coal mine governance and agricultural-solar power generation. Using both fixed brackets and large-span, high-headroom flexible brackets, the project is designed to have an installed capacity of 200 MW, and the power it generates will be connected to Hebei South Grid through the power plant’s existing 500 kV transmission lines. When completed, the project is expected to generate 381 million kWh of green electricity every year, thus saving 116,400 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 350,200 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by 1,400 tons, and soot emissions by 1,600 tons annually.
