China Energy’s 5 Technological Achievements Included in the Catalogue of Advanced and Applicable Technologies for the Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources (2022)

The Ministry of Natural Resources recently released the Catalogue of Advanced and Applicable Technologies for the Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources (2022), in which five technological achievements submitted by China Energy, namely “technology for joint extraction through upper and lower U-shaped shaft,” “high value utilization technology of synergetic extraction of valuable elements from fly-ash by acid immersion method,” “key technology and equipment for 8.8m super-high comprehensive mining working face,” “key technology for systematic ecological damage reduction and restoration in open-pit mines in cold grassland areas” and "integrated technology for curtain water interception in open-pit mines,” were included.

The promotion system for the Catalogue of Advanced and Applicable Technologies for the Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources was established by the Ministry of Natural Resources with an aim to facilitate the popularization and application of advanced and applicable technologies through the “government release - platform promotion - corporate application” mode. It has been updated every three years.

After continuous scientific and technological research over the past few years, China Energy has successfully developed and applied a series of core technologies such as 8.8m intelligent super large fully-mechanized mining face, protection and utilization of water resources in mines, ecological damage reduction and restoration in mining areas, and resource utilization of solid waste, and has established a number of ecological demonstration bases and demonstration projects, which have fueled its green and low-carbon energy development. The five technologies included in the new Catalogue cover such fields as coal mining, comprehensive utilization, and ecological conservation, and are valuable to improving the efficiency of coal mining and utilization, reducing production costs, and ensuring ecological safety in mining areas.
