On August 29, Jinchuan Company affiliated to Dadu River Hydropower Development Co., Ltd. under China Energy completed the key technology research on the concrete face rockfill dam of Jinchuan Hydropower Station. Through calculation of the two-dimensional finite element stress-deformation static and the three-dimensional finite element stress-deformation static, the researchers simulated and analyzed in detail the anti-sliding stability and seepage stability of the dam foundation, and put forward the representative stress-deformation values of the dam body, dam foundation and anti-seepage system. The outcomes, which were selected into CNKI’s database of scientific and technological achievements, have further promoted development of concrete face dam construction technology.
This key technology research designed to be both qualitative- and quantitative-wise was carried out by various means such as field investigation of Jinchuan Hydropower Station, indoor and outdoor tests, numerical calculation and comparison, and analogy analysis of finished projects. The situation of each rock group in the overburden of Jinchuan Hydropower Station dam area was comprehensively analyzed, and the physical and mechanical property indexes of Jinchuan riverbed overburden were put forward. The concrete engineering measures to solve overburden leakage, seepage deformation, compression deformation and sand liquefaction were demonstrated. Combined with the grouting test results of unloading rock mass, the research analyzed and evaluated engineering geological properties of unloading rock mass on both sides of the river and the feasibility of dam construction with excavated materials of unloading rock mass, defined the requirements and treatment standards of toe slabs on both sides of the river built in unloading rock mass and the material parameters of different sections of the dam body. Based on these efforts, the research has provided technical reference for similar concrete face dams, advanced the construction of Jinchuan project, and laid a solid foundation for ensuring early completion and commissioning of the hydropower station.
