Can leaves produce energy? You bet!
CEEC signed an EPC contract of the Côte d'Ivoire Biovea 46 MW Biomass Power Plant with Biovea Energie to convert local palm leaf straws into fuel. It is going to be the largest biomass power plant in the West Africa once completed.
The construction and operation of this project located in Aboisso will offer over 1,000 full-time jobs, increase income for about 12,000 palm growers and cut 180,000 tons of emissions per year. It will not only be a great boost for the local economic development, but also a propeller for the nation’s energy structure transition.
