China Energy’s First Intelligent Unmanned Gangue Silo in Wuhai Launched

On September 15, after three months of trial operation, China Energy’s first intelligent unmanned gangue silo in Wuhai, Inner Mongolia, was officially put into operation in the coal washing plant of Gongwusu Coal Company under Wuhai Energy. The goal of reducing operators and increasing efficiency and improving safety production coefficient has been achieved through the unmanned silo operation, and the construction of intelligent coal washing plant has made a solid progress.

Based on independent research, the coal washing plant organized professional and technical personnel to design and make the silo fan gate and chute structure in combination with the site working environment and plant structure, install signal detection and alarm devices, detect whether the vehicle is in place or out of place with radar detectors, convey signals to DCS central control system, and make the system control the gate opening according to the signal. When the vehicle is fully loaded with gangue, the radar at the back of the vehicle detects signal for the second time so as to close the valve and notify the vehicle to leave. The official operation of the gangue silo not only solves the problem of spreading coal in the silo, but also improves the loading efficiency, reduces the cost of manual operation, avoids the safety risk caused by improper operation of personnel, and achieves good results.
