China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd.’s Air Source Heating Project Pioneers in Clean Heat Supply in Inner Mongolia

On October 8, the Xinghe Xiaonanying clean energy heating project of Inner Mongolia branch of China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd. (“China Longyuan” for short), a subsidiary of CHN Energy, officially began operation, starting heat supply for merchants at North China International Stone Materials City that covers 108,000 square meters seven days ahead of schedule.

This is the first air source heat supply project launched by China Longyuan. Located in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it uses 93 air source heat pumps to take in low-temperature heat from air, heat up cold water through heat exchange of condensers, and then supply clean heat to shops and factories in North China International Stone Materials City in Ulanqab with the circular system. This is the first clean heat supply project in Inner Mongolia. The air source heat pumps applied in the project are among the world’s most advanced heat producing equipment with the highest efficiency. As a new type of clean energy equipment, they can compress low-temperature heat energy in air and transform it into high-temperature heat energy at the expense of little electric power. It is estimated that the project can supply 72,000 GJ, save 4,000 tons of crude coal and reduce fume emissions by 27.15 tons and carbon dioxide emissions by 46.62 tons each heat supply season, thus creating considerable economic and environmental benefits.
