CHN Energy Joined Hands with Two Global 500 Companies to Carry Out High-quality International Cooperation on Clean Energy

On November 6, during the Fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), CHN Energy signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Thyssenkrupp, and Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (“Guohua Investment” for short) under CHN Energy signed MOUs with Thyssenkrupp Nucera and Itochu (China) Holding Co., Ltd. With focus on clean energy, the three corporations, all listed among the Fortune Global 500, will join hands to explore and practice the path of green development in which energy and industry develop in line with each other, pool innovation vitality, strengthen collaboration and exchange, deepen pragmatic cooperation, and actively explore new paradigms for energy development, so as to contribute to the realization of carbon peak and neutrality goals and promote high-quality international cooperation on energy.

According to the MOU, CHN Energy and Thyssenkrupp will carry out in-depth cooperation in fields like wind power, hydrogen energy, green chemicals, and relevant production, storage, transportation, application and collaboration, as well as in terms of technology, innovation, industrial chain, and demonstration projects. Through technological innovation and cross-industry collaboration, the two sides will strive to enhance the safety and stability of clean energy and promote high-equality development of the energy industry. Meanwhile, Guohua Investment, Thyssenkrupp Nucera and Itochu (China) will give full play to their respective advantages, and strengthen cooperation in areas such as new energy, hydrogen energy, ammonia energy, technical equipment, and energy trade around China in the years to come, so as to achieve the goals of decarbonization and sustainable development.

In addition, Guohua Investment signed an agreement of intent with Itochu Shanghai Ltd. The two sides will work together to build up a complete industrial chain characterized by producing green hydrogen with green electricity and green ammonia with green hydrogen, with an aim to achieve win-win cooperation on the production, absorption and trade of clean energy.
