Dadu River Company Explored Way to Promote All-Employee Innovation through Big Data Modeling Competition

On November 17, Dadu River Company under CHN Energy commended winners at the 2022 Dadu River Smart Enterprise Big Data Application Scenario Design and Modeling Competition—part of the 2022 Sichuan Provincial Vocational Skills Competition and the “CHN Energy Cup” Intelligent Modeling Competition. Since its inception in 2018, this competition has been held for five consecutive years, through which Dadu River Company has continuously incubated scientific and technological innovation achievements and explored the system and mechanism to promote innovation among all employees, injecting new momentum into its sustainable innovation and development.

At present, Dadu River Company has 2,160 employees. Over the past five years, the number of participants in the competition has exceeded 2,000. The competition focuses on solving management obstacles and operational bottlenecks in daily work by promoting all-employee innovation. Through technologies such as big data modeling, more than 180 research projects have been carried out, covering various industries in domestic industrial-level informatization, and six innovation achievements were recommended to participate in national competitions. Of them, the “Large-scale Intelligent Hydropower Enterprise Construction Based on Independent Innovation” was the only case from centrally administered state-owned enterprises listed among the “Top Ten” cases at the 6th World Intelligence Congress, and the “Industrial Internet-based Hydropower Safety Management and Control Platform” became the only project in the field of hydropower that has been selected as a pilot project for the development of the data industry by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and has evolved into a corporate-level high-tech incubation base.

Due to its growing influence, the 2022 Dadu River Smart Enterprise Big Data Application Scenario Design and Modeling Competition has received high recognition from the Sichuan Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, which sponsored the competition and incorporated the competition into the 2022 Sichuan Provincial Vocational Skills Competition. It built a new stage for big data modeling competition and improved both the scale of the event and the level of participating research projects, further enhancing the influence and competitiveness of this competition platform across the industry.
