Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd.’s First Wind-Solar-Hydrogen Integration Project Produced High-purity Hydrogen

From November 22 to 28, the Chicheng hydrogen production project of the Hebei branch of Guohua Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (“Guohua Investment” for short), a subsidiary of CHN Energy, which is the first wind-solar-hydrogen integration project of Guohua Investment, successfully produced hydrogen used in fuel-cell vehicles (FCVs), with a purity as high as 99.999%. This marked that Guohua Investment has grasped the hydrogen production engineering technology for the development of renewable energy and further reinforced its capacity in building a green hydrogen supply chain.

This project is a demonstration project for “hydrogen production and refilling key technology and equipment”, a key research project under CHN Energy, as well as part of the Chicheng wind-hydrogen-storage hybrid pilot project launched by Guohua Investment in Zhangjiakou. It uses the power generated by the company’s own wind farms to produce water electrolysis to produce green hydrogen used for FCVs, with a total planned capacity of 4,000 standard cubic meters per hour. The phase-I of the project can achieve production capacity of 2,000 standard cubic meters per hour. Its key technical facilities include the central control workshop, electrolysis and compression section, filling section, gas supply station, and desalinized water workshop, covering a total land area of about 3.53 hectares.
