China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd.’s 215MW Wind Power Project Laid Foundation for First Wind Turbine

On November 18, the Zhuzishan 215MW wind power, Phase-II of Luopingxi Wind Farm, under the Yunnan branch of China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd. (“Longyuan Power” for short), a subsidiary of CHN Energy, completed the foundation of its first wind turbine.

The foundation of the wind turbine

As a major provincial-level project of Yunnan in 2022, the wind power project is located on the mountain ridges in Qujing City. The wind farm, with altitudes ranging from 2,300 to 2,580 meters above sea level, boasts remarkable wind resources and ideal construction conditions. With a planned installed capacity of 215MW, it will consist of 38 5.6MW wind turbines. When completed, the project will generate electricity of 510 million kWh, with 2,521 usage hours annually. Besides, each year it can save 165,600 tons of standard coal and reduce CO₂, SO₂ and NOx emissions by 454,300 tons, 101.37 tons, and 105.71 tons, respectively, thus playing a positive role in protecting the local environment and relieving air pollution. The project is expected to create remarkable economic, environmental and social benefits.
