Longyuan Power’s Yongzhou Photovoltaic Projects with Total Capacity of 250MW Approved for Registration

On January 9, the Shiyang 100MW photovoltaic project, the Xinyu 70MW forestry-photovoltaic project and the Xinlong 80MW photovoltaic project in Xintian County, Yongzhou City, launched by the Hunan branch of China Longyuan Power Group Co., Ltd. (“Longyuan Power” for short), a subsidiary of CHN Energy, were approved for registration by the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The three newly registered projects are all located in Xintian County, Yongzhou City, Hunan Province. The area boasts abundant solar resources, with a promising prospect for photovoltaic energy development. With a total capacity of 250MW, the three projects all adopt full access to the power grid. When completed, the projects are estimated to generate clean electricity of 306 kWh, save 94,200 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 250,800 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 50.68 tons, nitrogen oxide emissions by 55.76 tons and soot emissions by 9.76 tons each year, creating satisfying economic, environmental and social benefits. They will also play a positive role in protecting the local environment, reducing air pollution, and saving freshwater resources, and empower the region to build a cleaner, safer, and more low-carbon and high-efficiency energy system.
