Wuhai Energy Won First Prize at “Ingenuity Cup” National AI Innovation Application Competition

On January 5, the winners of the Industrial Empowerment Contest, part of the First “Ingenuity Cup” National Artificial Intelligence (AI) Application Competition co-organized by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Ministry of Science and Technology, were unveiled. The “research and application of 5G+XR technologies in intelligent mining” project launched by Wuhai Energy Co., Ltd. under CHN Energy won the first prize for “AI+energy innovation solutions”.

The “research and application of 5G+XR technologies in intelligent mining” project focuses on exploring solutions based on XR technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR) for mining scenarios, building a 5G+XR intelligent mining service platform, and enhancing the efficiency of the value chain ranging from production, patrol inspection, and repair to training, so as to empower the development of intelligent mining.

In recent years, Wuhai Energy has made efforts to accelerate the construction of the industrial internet for coal mines, advance the development of digital technology platform, improve network information security, and strengthen system operation and maintenance. These measures enable it to constantly enhance its supporting capacity in terms of information infrastructure.
