Shendong Coal’s First Seven-Meter-High Mechanized Mining Face with Remote Liquid and Power Supply Began Trial Operation

On January 27, the first seven-meter-high mechanized mining face with remote liquid and power supply developed by Shendong Coal, a subsidiary of CHN Energy, completed a week-long trial operation at the No. 22105 working face in Shangwan Coal Mine. It has been proven that the mining face operated stably, laying a solid foundation for the widespread application of high mechanized mining face with a remote liquid and power supply system.

The remote liquid supply system of the mining face consists of components such as inlet pipes, return pipes, atomizer pipes, pipe joints, valves, and energy accumulators. A single-trip liquid circulation needs to pass through pipes totaling 4,200 meters. The outer diameter of the steel pipes is 133mm. The inlet pipes can bear pressure ≥40MPa, and the return pipes and atomizer pipes can withstand pressure ≥20MPa. The liquid supply pipes are made of 27SiMn seamless steel tubes and adopt multi-groove jointing technology. Thus, they boast high yield strength and high impact resilience and can resist high pressures.

Since the mining face was put into trial operation, its remote liquid and power supply system has operated well, with the terminal pressure on the pipes staying at around 29.5MPa. The terminal voltage of the remote power supply system can totally meet the demand of actual production.
