Shengli Energy’s Loading System Achieved Full-process Intelligent, Precise Coal Blending

On February 12, the loading system in the storage and transportation center of Shengli Energy Co., Ltd. (“Shengli Energy” for short) under CHN Energy achieved full-process intelligent, precise coal blending. Tests proved that the loading system can perform precise coal blending in an intelligent manner, with all equipment operating stably and all parameters staying above standard. This marked a new step closer to the goal of unmanned operations.

Prior to the intelligent transformation of its loading system, the storage and transportation center had 84 coal feeders. Operators manually controlled the shutters’ opening degrees upon their personal experiences. In the loading process, each person needed to operate several coal feeders and adjust coal traffic constantly to meet the loading demand. Under this circumstance, the center added automatic shutters to the 84 coal feeders of the ground production system. The devices can control the opening degrees with high precision and high reliability. Moreover, the control modules of the coal feeders were upgraded, enabling shutter control to be connected to the intelligent loading system and allowing operators to check and monitor the shutters of coal feeders from the central control room. In addition, the intelligent loading system can automatically calculate the needed coal feeding volume in accordance with the speed of the train, and adjust the feeding traffic through controlling the opening degree of the coal feeder’s shutter. It will automatically close the shutters of all coal feeders after the train completes the loading process.

The realization of full-process intelligent, precise coal blending enables operators to shift from “experience-based operations” to “full-process smart operations”, thus reducing labor intensity and enhancing production efficiency.
